I am a BAME mother to two wild kids working as a creative copywriter in advertising for over 13 years, with a deep love of words and their power to make the world a better and more interesting place.
My work includes big creative campaigns for Nike, Vodafone, BBC and Bombay Sapphire as well as digital projects for Foot Locker, Tesco, Lloyds Bank, Drambuie, Mars and Getty Images to name a few.
My career has taken me on various creative adventures - I've met Master Yoda, eaten fireworks, helped build a 70- thousand-precious-stone-encrusted sculpture, bathed people and clothes in clouds of colour, interviewed some of the most obsessive sneaker heads in London (and discovered weird subcultures involving eggs and trainers in the process), transformed an entire section of an ad agency into a mystery room exclusively for a pitch and met some fascinating creatives, actors and directors along the way.
For the past 8 years I have applied my creativity to Motherhood - breaking the 9-5 mould and carving out a life that allows space for family. I’ve made two humans, watched them grow and taught them some things; like how to eat, how to wee in toilets rather than in bushes and most importantly how to be brave, curious and kind. Along the way I have written children's books, become an Interior Designer and renovated 6 houses (while helping clients redesign their own nests). Currently I am setting up a print poster company with a mission to encourage kids to be naughty (because sometimes you find yourself in interesting places, if you refuse to follow the rules).
I am positive, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, a good listener and a firm believer in kindness. I have an insatiable interest in food, a keen eye for Interiors and a deep love for Yoga.
Eurgh. Yoga and Kindness... who am I even.
